It's a sad attempt at a "lolcat" (http://icanhascheezburger.com). The cat looks to be attached to the laptop, almost as if it was plugged into the USB drive.
Clearly, if I have to explain the joke, I didn't do a very good job with it...
I got the joke, but maybe that's because there are two cats living in my house and one of them has a tendency to plaster himself to the computer in a similar manner.
