My buddy Greg is back in town before he heads home to the land where the water goes the other way when you flush. Before he came the US to visit his family, he had arranged to purchase a Rickenbacker 4003 Burgandy Glow bass on eBay and have it shipped to his father's home. The Rickenbacker is a beautiful instrument with great complexity and personality. He got a great deal on it -- he would have paid 3-4x what he did if he had bought it in Melbourne.

Greg is my longest friend. I've known him since 7th grade, and we've always been close. There are very few men that I respect as much, and none that I can think of that I respect more. His counsel has always been sound and wise, and he's always been there for me when I needed him.

He's visiting from Australia for an agonizingly short period of time, leaving tomorrow to visit his family in OKC. He will be back at the end of the month for a few more days before he heads back way, way, way, way south.
