A VERY expensive set of pictures...

in the intersection.JPG

driver-closeup.JPG

Yep, I got nailed by a red-light camera in San Francisco. This is going to cost me $400.90 (the fine) + $32 (the administrative fee to allow me to take traffic school to keep it off my insurance) + $25 (Traffic school itself).

If I'm going to pay damn near $500 for these pictures, I'm gonna post them!!

My God, I didn't know you got a photograph of it too! I don't blame you for posting it. Not sure what to say except to send sympathetic noises - here they come... zzz. brrrr....shhhh.

I dont see a red light? It was yellow! Of course all of the other cars stopped may give it away. They have those in the Dallas area, but they are starting to turn them off.....they tell us they are not making the money they expected, even though they told us when they were put in they were not to raise money, but for safety. UH HUH

That's Presidio & Fulton, right? No offense, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for anybody who gets nailed for running a red light--especially at that intersection. I live two blocks away, and I take my life into my hands every time I cross the street there.

That's ok -- I'm not looking for sympathy. I wasn't paying close attention, period. I done wrong, and I get to pay the price for that.

I certainly understand your point of view. Crossing US-1 in the city is always a game of Russian Roulette.

Maybe my experience can serve as a warning.

It was Geary, not Fulton, by the way.

At least you didn't kill a pedestrian or run over a baby carriage or something. lol

Did your insurance go up?
(Love your photos)

Thanks to traffic school, it did not. It still cost me time and money, but, thankfully, I have a relatively clean nose, so I was able to avoid the point.
