Private Reserve

Regular readers of this blog will remember that LOVE out dog sitter. Every year she presents her clients with a gift, including her "private reserve" wine for that year. Each bottle is personalized (dog- alized?) for the dog

Two years ago, it was "Pawno Grrrigio". Last year it was "Zinfan-tail". I love this year's "Pinot more" (get it, "pee no more"?)

One tired pup...

Our Friday dog sitter (aka, the ever awesome Shura) has obtained the services of a fairly hard core dog walker/runner. When we went to Yappy Hour tonight, we saw this otherwise highly energetic young pug named Mojo. He's clearly crashed hard.

We dog folk have a saying -- a tired puppy is a happy puppy!

Our amazing, wonderful, funny and very cool dog sitter, Shura (of "Bark to Basics") redecorated her day room. She turned the room into a truly fascinating school room, complete with bookshelves filled with books like "Dog Catcher in the Rye", "Sherlock Bones", and "Algerpaw 101". She also has a map of the world in her "Geogruffy" section.

In the bathroom, behind the door, we find this. The dog is one one of her clients (Frankie the Pug).

Pretty day at yappy hour...

Our first Friday Yappy Hour ("Because it's been a RUFF week") in several weeks. Shura, our doggie guru and general favorite canine-oriented professional, had been on vacation for a while, and we were in Yosemite last week, so we've missed it.

The last few of them we went to were grey and cold, but today was very gorgeous...

This pic was taken with my small, emergency backup camera because I didn't bring the D70 with me. I love the view from her backyard -- the bridge, Clayton's school, the golden domed church, ... it's just amazing. The SEBC can't match the quality of the D70, but it still captures the feel of the place.

Tonight was Yappy hour, and we had a good time with shish-k-bobs and some really good cheese, plus great conversations with Shura's other clients, plus her dad and step-mom.

Clayton was in town this weekend and went to Yappy Hour at our Friday dog sitter's place (Bark to Basics, Shura Kelly, dog guru) with us.

The doggies loved him! Clemmy couldn't get into the middle cause all the lighter colored dogs wanted thier hairs on his black jacket.
