Font Fail?

DSC_0006

When they were picking the font to use for "Heating", did anyone stop to think that people would see this and think "vampire" instead? And that is WAY more "blood" red than "heat" red, in my humble opinion.

I mean, seriously, couldn't you picture a "Dracula" movie poster with that font and color?

Kudos on the "cooling" font though!

Random Statue of Liberty in someone's back yard

Lost Wolf

DSC_0022

There are SO many questions with this one. Let's start with "Why is the sign on the ground?" How about: "Why is this sign DOWNTOWN?". Ooh, here's one: "A WOLF?!?!"

Rainy and Dark -- but colorful...

IMG00255.jpg

Big rain storm in the bay area today. Wet roads, not much light.

Still, street lights, stop lights, etc, make for nice color...

The Velcro Suit

velcro suit

We had our annual tent party at work today. Among the festivities was a velcro wall.

A velcro wall consists of a "bounce house" type surface ending in a padded, velcro loop covered wall. Each participant dresses up in a suit covered in velcro hook. You run and jump and throw yourself against the wall where you STICK

I like the colors and the smiles.

Watermelon with a speed flash...

Watermelon

Bizzare view of the cut side of a watermelon, iluminated by my speed light.

Braille for GIANTS!

Braille for GIANTS

This building is the Rose Resnick Lighthouse for the Blind building on Van Ness Street in San Francisco.

I haven't been able to decipher what this says, but I have to ask -- for whom is this written?!?! I have an image of a blind guy, on a ladder, feeling each dot and hollering down "Yep, this is the place!".

A Weird thing I came across today...

Take a close look at the first picture. About 2 feet above the 2nd pane of window from the left corner of the building, you'll see a little dot.

Let's zoom in on that dot.

Yes, it's a snail. That snail has climbed nearly 15 feet up on the side of a stucco textured building. This begs a number of questions, not the least of which are:

1) how the hell does a snail climb 15 feet up a building like that?

2) where does he think he's going, and what does he think he'll find when he gets there

It's the little, bizzare eccentricities of life that I love to catch on "film".
